Making Wellness Commonplace…

It’s also about how we work.

The Commons Wellness Collective is a community of like-minded practitioners, working to support each other in growing practices that support not only our clients and patients thriving, but also our own.

We seek to undo the aloneness that can come from working in the mental health field.

When entering the mental health field, many clinicians are struck by how isolating this work can feel. In addition, the sudden pressure of transitioning to a business owner or entrepreneur can feel daunting. If you have been feeling challenged or overwhelmed by how to manage this, trying to grow your clinical skills, while also learning how to run a business, imagine instead learning alongside a supportive group of values aligned clinicians.

The Collective seeks to provide a supportive space where you can learn together with others and at your own pace, building your practice in the way that works best for you.

This is for you if…

You’re keen to learn and grow in community.

You’re looking for genuine connection and space to process the heaviness that can come with our work.

You seek values-aligned community that rejects the idea that therapists are neutral.

You want to work in an anti-oppressive, systemic way that also acknowledges the harm that has been caused by medical and mental health systems.

You’re hoping for support and space to celebrate with you as your business grows.

What we offer:

✔️ Values aligned community

✔️ Space to process and connect around the heaviness that can come from this work

✔️ Supportive learning environment that celebrates your growth

✔️ Opportunities to connect and undo the aloneness that comes from our work

✔️ Access to our vibrant referral network

Our Values Style

  • Blank yellowish background

Communicate in a way that prioritizes treating others and ourselves with dignity

  • A silhouette of a woman pulling back a bow for archery, standing outdoors on a grassy field during sunset.

Protect the privacy and confidentiality of the folks we work with in all communication

  • Empty light purple background.

Commit to spotting and repairing microaggressions that may occur between group members

  • Blank gray square image

Participate in co-creating a safe-enough space, to allow for anyone who joins to access shared learning

  • A dark green background with some faint, abstract line designs.

Work and dialogue from a trauma-informed lens

  • A plain, light purple square background

Bring a non-pathologizing framework with a focus on decolonizing practice.

We recognize that we all still have work to do and that learning is never complete. As a group and as individuals, we are committed to actively working to understand and dismantle our own cultural biases and internalized systemic oppression in an ongoing way.

The field of mental health is evolving and we seek to evolve with it.

We believe in support over scarcity, and hold reciprocal community values as an antidote to resist the toxicity of capitalism.
